I wish all of your a Happy Thanksgiving. We’re doing the very traditional Thanksgiving supper this evening, and are keeping the grandkids so that Mom can cook in peace.
The weather here is cooling off and going into some unseasonable cold. I’m hoping we can use the wood stove for the first time since the grands were born. Mrs. Freeholder is concerned for their safety, but I think we can use their old playpen-fence thing to keep them safely away. But it’s time for them to start learning some of the less pleasant things that must be taught, like “HOT!”
My neighbor across the street is deep frying a couple of turkeys–they’re hosting a lot of family later today. I think I’m going to go see if he needs any help. 🙂
Y’all enjoy the day. And enjoy Rush Limbaugh’s True Story of Thanksgiving while you’re cooking.
EDIT: Don’t forget those who are suffering due to the actions and inactions of government.
Thank you, Mr. F, for the holiday best wishes….we had a blessed time with church family nearby our home last evening….a good time to remember and be grateful – as we should always be – best, redclay7
