I took off Friday to be with Daughter, who was home from university for fall break. Faced with all the fun things she could do with her old Daddy, she decided to go to the range.
She wanted to go because on her next birthday, she turns 21, and is eligible for her North Carolina Concealed Carry Permit, the expenses for which I have promised to pay as her birthday present. It’s been quite a while since she has been able to go shooting, so she was interested in some practice with the pistol I bought for her some years ago, a Springfield XD in 9 mm.
While she definitely shows the lack of practice, she can still ding her targets just fine. Obviously we need to do some tuning up and work on her speed. Luckily, she comes home about every other weekend. Plenty of time to get her back in the groove.
