Now this is something to write about

A bill that allows people to carry concealed handguns into bars has won final legislative passage and heads now to Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell for his expected signature.

As expected, “Opponents argued that bringing firearms into places of varying degrees of sobriety will come to a tragic end.” I imagine that, as per usual, blood will stubbornly refuse to flow in the streets, bars or elsewhere.

Three cheers for Virginia.

  1. Point of interest…
There are no "bars" as such in Virginia. (I do wish the news media would get this straight) Only restaurants that serve alcoholic beverages. It is legal in Virginia to open carry in such locations, if you can legally carry a handgun.
A proviso of this new law is that the carrier cannot drink
