Lest we forget

Today is the anniversary the beginning of one of the bloodiest battles of World War II–The Battle of the Bulge. Over 160,000 casualties were incurred on both sides. Fought during some of the worst weather of one of the worst European winters in decades, our troops. either weary from battle or new and untried, fought the Nazis to a standstill, then threw them back. Some historians say this battle may have shorted the war by months, as the Nazis used their last remaining supplies in a last ditch effort to turn the tide.

There is a certain movie of the same nameI believe I will watch tonight, after all is done and the house is quiet.
