Life here continues and continues to be busy. Last week was a week of doctors. Expensive doctors. This week is a continuation of that, at least for the first half of the week. This getting old thing isn’t working out like I planned.
There is better news on the gun front. If you’ve been keeping up, there has been all sorts of good news, but I think this is the best one so far: DOJ Says Lawful Gun Owners Can Carry in Post Offices.
Don’t let your “wooting” go to far on this one. As the article notes, this isn’t a Supreme Court decision. Rather it is a DOJ change of position on what the law says. While it is promising news, it doesn’t mean that you can now carry your gat to the post office and leave all your concerns at home. People can, and I suspect will be, charged under the old interpretation in less freedom-oriented jurisdictions. And then it will start working its way through the courts, where hopefully SCOTUS will take a look at it and enshrine the new interpretation.
Or not. As you may remember from the Obamacare debacle, you can’t trust the Supremes.
Boy, I have to agree on the getting old thing. Both my husband and I are feeling old. Wish someone had told us it would be like this. We probably wouldn’t have listened, though. All those ads with smiling seniors, enjoying their ‘golden years’, is false advertising I think. I should’ve known better.
