I’m off to have a nuclear stress test. Watch this while I get put through the wringer. Report follows if I survive. 🙂

Edit, 6/30/2021: I survived. Preliminary results are good, although I’m “exercise intolerant”. I could have told them that. Damn neuropathy in my feet makes it difficult, not to mention painful, to get much exercise. I’m guessing that I’m going to get told to “Figure it out.” I’ll get a call with the full results later today.

Further edit: Fun with science. The isotope I was injected with is Technicium-99m, which has a half-life of 6 hours.

For some years I’ve kept a NukAlert near my desk. I honestly don’t think that anything is going to happen where I’ll need the warning it provides, but stuff happens. So this afternoon, I noticed the “click-click” that I hear every 30 seconds or so that tells me it’s still on duty and changed to a steady “click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click”. Yes, that is 41 clicks, followed by a brief pause. “WT actual F?” was the first thing through my mind. Then it struck me. I’m an emitter! So I went downstairs and got my Geiger counter and videoed this for your brief viewing pleasure.

Still haven’t heard from the doc.

Edit, 7/6/2021: Finally heard from the doc. So far, the ticker is normal. I still have an echocardiogram to do, I suppose to finalize things.
