Just when I thought I had nothing to write about

My blogroll comes to my rescue!

Seriously, I haven’t really had anything move me. Sure, there’s all sorts of things going on, like mass shootings, gun grabs, economic chaos and the like, but I just did’t see a need to comment. A lot of other folks are and doing a better job than I probably would at the moment. Maybe I’ve reached the acceptance phase about the world going to hell and there’s nothing I can do about it.

I’m not the only one noticing the situation though, and some folks have tossed out some goodies. Go, read and save as PDFs because this stuff may come in handy, and soon.

From Aesop at the Raconteur Report: Dakin’s Solution for wound treatment. Lots to read, several links to follow and digest and you should save it all as PDF files.

From Kim du Toit: Feds Confiscate Guns in Flathead Valley With 30 Vehicles, Three Tanks, and Helicopter It seems they decided to have themselves a test run. And it should give us pause when thinking about how we might react if such things become commonplace.

From Western Rifle Shooters: Prepare for the permanent pandemic. It needs to be permanent because we’re easier to control when we’re isolated and use digital means to communicate, rather than going to the local tavern and talking over a beer or two.

At SurvivalBlog: Post Collapse Barter: The Value of Silver, Part 1 & Part 2. Most of the good stuff is on Part 2. Copy/paste the good bits and save it.

And just so it all isn’t doom and gloom, I’ll leave with this, found on Wilder, Wealthy and Wise:
