Doing something about heart failure

No, I’m not branching out into medical blogging, but when you’ve reached my age, you’ve seen a lot of people in your life who have had issues with various sorts of heart failure, so the subject becomes of interest.

A new device may save a lot of people who run afoul of this particular menace of aging. We do live in an age of ever-increasing miracles.

  1. Cool! Can I have bacon for breakfast after the surgery? After all, the pigs helped to develop the device… Sorry, I'm bored and at work.

    Other researchers are developing a rotary pump as a heart replacement that does away with the pesky clotting problem. Apparently, there is no need for the pumping action to be rhythmic.

    I want some usable artificial eyes with decent resolution, myself…
