Tryin’ to reason with hurricane season

Well, here in my part of North Carolina, Hurricane Charley was mostly a rainstorm. But for others, it has been a killer storm. There are a couple of people blogging from the front lines:

I’ve also seen a Usenet post from the Myrtle Beach, SC area (basically an “all’s well, minor damage but the tourists are returning”) and received an email from a correspondent at Emerald Isle, NC with similar news.

Keep the folks in Florida in your thoughts and prayers. The American Red Cross is accepting donations, and for those of you who don’t care for the Red Cross, The Command Post has a list of other organizations who are helping as well. Pick one and donate if you can.
