RFID tags in US currency?

It’s long been rumored that the US Government can track the movements of individualized bills. That said, I’m not sure what to make of this article. I don’t know prisonplant.com from Snider’s hound, so I don’t know if they’re like The Onion, or they’re serious about this. Perhaps it’s time to do some checking on my cash.
