These epic events are always worth a read, because she is an excellent writer and a clear thinker. This one in particular is worth it, because she cuts to the heart of the matter at hand, and, as I believe she would say, gets her wookie suit on.
Myself, I would say “Follow the money.” Who benefits from the War on (Some) Drugs? Once you figure that out, the whole sorry enterprise starts to make a lot more sense. Pitiful sense, but a lot more of it.
