France’s version of our Supreme Court says that at 75% tax rate on the richest French citizens is unconstitutional, although on a technicality.  The Socialists say they will be back with a new and improved version, which, if I understand the ruling, will now tax more people, just to be “fair”.

The City of Light will be the City of Dark from 1 AM to 7 AM to save money and help France meet Socialist energy efficiency goals and show their “sobriety”.

I have to wonder if this is how the Romans felt when the barbarian hordes came over that last hill they could see, out there in the distance?

Edit, 1957:  It seems that the barbarians are closing in, looking for homes for the winter.
