Don’t argue with the government

At least not without the appropriate licenses and permits.

David N. Cox says he was merely exercising his right to petition the government, but a state Department of Transportation official has raised allegations that Cox committed a misdemeanor: practicing engineering without a license.

Apparently, just being able to do “engineering level work” without a license is some sort of crime. Talented amateurs everywhere, beware.

You really have to read the whole story to get the full infuriating effect. Perhaps the new NC Legislature can take a few minutes from their budget issues to reign in the NC Dept. of Transportation–or perhaps do it during their budget work.
