If I wanted to buy something that cost $100 in the year of my birth, it would currently cost $680.74. This is an indicator in how debased our currency currently is. It gets worse–for example, $100 in 1913 is $2035.35 today.

Hell, I would have been a very rich man in 1913! Move over there, Vanderbilt.
