Another brick in the wall

The House of Representative has voted to make the f’ing “Patriot Act” permanent. I suppose us proles should be grateful, because they threw us a bone on the library clasue and the roving wiretaps–those are only renewed for 10 years. I view this as yet another clear indicator that little time remains for the Republic.

The Senate hasn’t voted yet, but their version of the reauthorization bill is nearly as bad. The only bit of light is that thier version only renews the library and roving wiretap clauses for 4 years. Thank you so very much.
