Just before Christmas we ventured forth with the Grandthings for a trip to the chiropractor. Mrs. Freeholder and I get cricked on a regular basis. It helps.
After the cricking, we stopped at the local Dairy Queen for lunch. Thing 1 was being her usual autistic self and “exploring”, and in the course of this she found this tiny Jesus figurine. At the time, we just joked about her “finding Jesus at the Dairy Queen” and carried on. Little did we know we had tripped over a minor cultural phenomenon.
It seems that “Tiny Jesus” is everywhere and is quite the world traveler. Religious groups are leaving Jesus in places to be found. A pretty cool way to spread the Word.
Mrs. Freeholder mentioned this at her nail salon yesterday, and her nail lady gifted her one of her very own. She also got very festive silver nails with glitter.
We’ve started a list of where we’ve found Jesus. So far, He has been found
- At the Dairy Queen
- At the nail salon
We may start leaving Jesus at various places in the house for the Things to find. Or I may jump on the Internet, buy a bulk package of Jesus and begin my own campaign around town. Be on the lookout….
